Using Folder tracks Folder tracks let you organize your tracks into groups. For example, you can group together all the Video tracks, or tracks that pertain to images (picture, sprites). To insert a Folder track: 1 With a movie open in the Movie Viewer window, click the Show TimeLine Window button ( 2 Drag the Folder Track icon from the QuickTime tab of the Objects palette onto the track list area of the TimeLine Window. This inserts a new empty Folder track. 3 Set the properties as necessary: Title Enter a title for the Folder track. Scale Sample Time This checkbox is enabled for tracks that contain samples (sprites, text, chapter, HREF, and filters), or for the Folder track, which contains other tracks. With this option checked, the sample or track durations change proportionally when you change the track duration in the track inspector (or if you Shift-drag the track bar's end). The Folder track settings are inherited by its nested tracks. The default setting is unchecked. To organize your tracks in folders: 1 Simply drag a track into the Folder track. Once you drag a track into the Folder track, you'll see a triangle next to the track. Click the triangle to expand the Folder track and see the tracks within it. 2 Click on a track within the Folder track and you'll see its corresponding Inspector. 3 Add more folders as you wish and organize all of your tracks.
